"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."
Hebrews 12:1 (NIV)

Joseph Lesson 8: One Perspective that Changes Everything for You
Scripture: Genesis 44:1-45:15
Wayne Stiles teaches from the life of Joseph that the peace we long for only comes through personal sacrifice—as we learn to look at every event in life through the filter of God’s sovereignty.
Scripture: Genesis 43
Wayne Stiles teaches from the life of Joseph in Genesis 43 that God never asks us to understand His sovereign will. Instead, just trust Him. What’s more, God never wants us to compare ourselves with others. Instead, just trust Him.
Scripture: Genesis 42
Wayne Stiles teaches from the life of Joseph in Genesis 42 that God will use a variety of circumstances to awaken our hearts to Him. What precious person or thing is God calling you to surrender to Him?
Scripture: Matthew 6:9-13
Rhome van Dyke explores Jesus’ model prayer, emphasizing how believers can align their lives with God’s will and advance His kingdom on earth. He examines each petition, showing how prayer invites God’s presence, power, and provision into daily life, and how it calls Christians to live faithfully as participants in God’s eternal plan.
Scripture: Psalm 23:2
Continuing his study of Psalm 23, Imanuel Christian teaches from verse 2, exploring how the Lord lovingly provides rest, peace, and nourishment for His people. This lesson reflects on the Shepherd’s tender care and the trust that enables His sheep to lie down without fear.
Scripture: Genesis 41
Wayne Stiles teaches from Genesis 41 that our toughest tests aren’t trials but blessings that draw us away from our walk with God. God defines true success as faithfulness.
Scripture: Genesis 40
Wayne Stiles teaches from Genesis 40 that God’s priority is the work He does in us rather than through us. That’s why His plans for us include preparation and waiting, and God sees our faithfulness in obscurity as preparation for increasing influence.
Scripture: Genesis 39
Wayne Stiles teaches from Joseph’s experience in Genesis 39 that we need to see all sin through the eyes of God and have a healthy distrust of ourselves with regard to temptation. What seem like unjust setbacks are part of God’s plan for our progress.
Scripture: Genesis 38
Wayne Stiles teaches from the Genesis 38 that God may use seemingly unrelated events to remind us of our responsibilities. Also, God’s purposes for our lives will still be accomplished in spite of our family upbringing.
Scripture: Genesis 37
Wayne Stiles teaches from the life of Joseph in Genesis 37 that God’s Word may seem to contradict our circumstances or expectations. God may remove us from our preferred situation in order to deepen our walk with Him. God often hides the details of His plan so that we trust Him—not the plan.
