Scripture: Mark 10:32-52

Wayne Stiles contrasts the prideful requests of James and John for glory with the humble plea of blind Bartimaeus for mercy. Stiles reminds listeners that true greatness in God’s kingdom comes not through power or prestige, but through humble, sacrificial service. Like Bartimaeus, we are called to seek not our own glory, but God’s mercy and will for our lives.
