Dr. Stephen Kim continues teaching on the seventh Landmark, Israel’s Compromise—Historical & Prophetic Books, from his series “The Ten Landmarks of Israel: Understanding the Old Testament Story.” He examines Israel’s repeated unfaithfulness, highlighting the lessons from both the historical narratives and prophetic warnings, and points to God’s enduring faithfulness despite their compromise.
Dr. Stephen Kim teaches the Marathon Fellowship class at Stonebriar Community Church. He has served as Professor of Bible Exposition at Dallas Theological Seminary since 2021. Before joining the faculty of Dallas Theological Seminary, he taught for twelve years at Multnomah Biblical Seminary in Portland, Oregon, and served as pastor of a church in Nashville, Tennessee. His passion is studying and teaching God’s Word, helping students know and love the God of Scripture.
Dr. Kim's research interests center on the Gospel of John and Johannine theology. He is the author of The Miracles of Jesus According to John and has contributed numerous scholarly journal articles on related topics. He and his wife, Sophia, have two grown daughters and reside in Addison, Texas.
