George Cotter of Marketplace Chaplains challenges believers to live out their faith in the workplace by sharing the love of Christ through prayer, personal presence, and conversations guided by the Holy Spirit. He emphasizes that transformation comes one soul at a time, highlighting the ministry’s work caring for employees across the nation, supporting chaplains, and trusting God to use even a faithful remnant to bring revival and reformation. Cotter underscores that prayer and witness go hand in hand, empowering Christians to influence the marketplace and impact the spiritual health of the nation.
George Cotter serves as Chief Analyst at Marketplace Chaplains, a ministry dedicated to sharing the love of Christ in workplaces across the United States. With over 16 years of experience in various leadership roles—including Division Director and U.S. Operations Director—George has played a pivotal role in developing strategies that enable chaplains to provide personalized, confidential care to employees at more than 3,500 locations nationwide.
George and his wife, Jean, have been married for 50 years and are active members of their local church, where he also contributes to the special needs ministry. A graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, George began his journey under the mentorship of Dr. Stanley Toussaint and has maintained a lifelong commitment to prayer, evangelism, and practical ministry in everyday settings.
In his current role, George emphasizes relational care and spiritual support in secular workplaces, guiding chaplains to meet employees’ emotional and spiritual needs without imposing their faith. He encourages a culture of prayer and witness, helping individuals encounter Christ in meaningful, real-world contexts. George’s vision is to see a remnant of believers influence the nation through acts of care, prayer, and sharing the gospel, one life at a time.
